Web Feats can provide on site PD in ways to maximise the use of your school’s existing software to address outcomes within the VELS ICT Domain for the Middle Years.
A short meeting with either the Principal, Curriculum Leader or KLA Head prior to the PD is all that is required to establish the focus for the PD session.

A typical PD session could cover one or more of the folllowing :
Instruction in using some of the more sophisticated functions within familiar programs to elicit higher order thinking in students.

For example using the drawing tools in PowerPoint to construct the Solar System & the custom animation tools to construct the orbital paths of the planets as part of a study for science.

Instruction in how to import images from digital cameras and sound recordings from software like Audacity to produce a digital story in Windows Movie Maker.

A look at how the program Inspiration can be used to address outcomes in the ICT for Visualising Dimension through the process of planning a task in any subject area.

Web Feats will also provide where approriate:
Resources in the form of printable step by step screen shots for use afterwards in the classroom.
Advice and ideas for how the new skills learned could be applied to to suit topics in other KLA areas.

PD is available for small groups, teams, KLAs or Individuals in any the software programs listed below,
Training is also available for your teaching or admin staff in how to manage & update your school’s website.

Small group PD costs for teams or KLAs
 For a two hour session a minimum of 6 people is preferred however this is negotiable for small schools.
Cost: $30.00 per person
For a two hour session of between 7 and 12 participants
Cost: $200
For individual tuition
Cost: $40.00 per hour
